Rolfing Structural Integration, is a functional & structural somatic therapy designed to optimize movement & alignment in the body. Through hands on manual myofascial manipulation (massage) techniques, as well as work with the client’s movement pattern (perception and coordination). Rolfing works directly on the fascial network (connective tissues) to facilitate reorganization in the body’s structure.
Rolfing aims to restore flexibility, revitalize your energy and leave you feeling more comfortable in your body.
Essentially, the Rolfing process enables the body to regain the natural integrity of its form, thus enhancing postural efficiency and your freedom of movement.
Rolfing sessions are in 60 and 90 minute increments, and can be billed to insurance in the same way that massage is at our office. Our Rolfer, William, is also a Chiropractic Assistant and is teamed up with the Chiropractic and Massage team, so that does tend to open up more options for billing, as well as continuity in your care. Please call the office to schedule or verify your insurance.
A tank top or sports bra, and shorts or loose pants is the ideal attire for a session. Rolfing is a beautiful compliment to other types of bodywork, as it really helps to integrate the changes you are seeking.
