Rev. Rose Matthews, NC Holistic Nutritionist and Spiritual Counselor Rose champions the unusual but powerful combination of science and spirituality. Using evidence-based therapeutic nutrition and clairvoyant energy work, Rose creates a container for people to heal. Beginning this journey by healing herself from asthma, allergies, leaky gut and fatigue, Rose is familiar with how it feels to be ill and out of alignment. She also knows it is possible to transcend those illnesses. Rose studied holistic nutrition at Bauman College, certifying as a Nutrition Consultant. She concurrently studied with Berkeley Psychic Institute for five years in their seminary and Clairvoyant Training program. Her approach to healing is with deep reverence to the human and the divine, subscribing to no particular religion but drawing from them all. Rose started her nutrition practice in 2015 and quickly learnt that the physical and spiritual aspects of a person’s health are so connected that to make sustainable progress, we must address both. Rose developed her own integrative approach to healing by addressing the root cause in the physical body and the energetic body. With her unique approach, Rose supports the healing of the following physical and spiritual conditions: leaky gut, IBS, candida, auto-immune conditions, addiction, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, mental illness, stress, allergies, disembodiment, feeling highly sensitive/empathic, ancestral trauma, energetic pain, possession, existential crisis, lack of autonomy/sovereignty and beyond. Rose adores working with clients and finds it deeply rewarding to work in multiple dimensions. She continues on the path to sustainable healing for herself, her family, her community and the planet. Meet the Providers
Hi! I am Stephanie Selinger, a nutritional therapy practitioner (NTP), and I am passionate about helping others on their journey to better health. I am also a wife and mother to a sweet, determined girl who inspires me every day. I also enjoy teaching functional fitness classes at Barre3 in Portland, practicing yoga, hiking, and cooking. As a professional in the business world for many years, the stress and lifestyle took a toll on my body and mind.
I took an interest in holistic approaches to healing the body, which led me to overhaul my diet, the personal care products I used on my body, the products I used in my home, and my self-care practices. As a result I became a Beauty counter consultant to help spread the word about safer cosmetics and share my passion for non-toxic living. Ready to take my own health to the next level, I left my finance career behind and embarked on a new journey, in a new city, and began studying holistic nutrition with the Nutritional Therapy Association. Given our lives today, I know that living a healthy, vibrant life requires compromise, balance, and grace. I started A Healthy Balance to help people restore their health and vitality through achievable and actionable changes in their nutrition, lifestyle, and mindset. While I have experience in many areas of functional health including digestion, hormone imbalances, and autoimmune conditions, I focus on fertility, prenatal and postpartum nutrition, and family health. I can often be found with my clients at the grocery store in Portland, guiding them to make better choices within their budget or working with clients in their homes to overhaul their pantries, medicine cabinets, and personal care, makeup, and household products. Let's work together to help you discover your own healthy balance!
